Cost
As the cost of on-campus housing continues to rise across the state, Oakland University remains committed to making the residential experience affordable for students. That's why you won't see any increases to our housing rates this fall. In fact, the only change you'll see is a $500 reduction in the cost of double room occupancy in our traditional residence halls.
Factor in the savings you'll see in transportation and gas, and free amenities such as laundry, parking and wireless internet, and living on campus may be the smartest financial decision for you.
Housing costs are billed through Student Financial Services, who also handles important payment and bill due dates.
Hamlin Hall and Vandenberg Hall
Hamlin and Vandenberg Hall will see a $500 reduction in double room rates for the fall 2023-winter 2024 academic year. A new, single room option has been created for students seeking additional privacy.
